I followed the User Centered Design process and conducted a survey to gather general insights from people's experiences with 3DLINK and their rendering habits in order to get acquainted with their opinions, wishes and needs, I also interviewed 8 people who ranged between 18 and 35 years of age and seemed to be ideal interview subjects (based on the two groups of influencers highlighted in the brief) and reported rendering daily. I identified patterns and similarities which helped me to uncover insights and identify user needs.
The 3DLink website was a successful project that met the needs of our target audience and achieved our goals of creating an easy-to-use platform for 3D rendering. Through our user-centered design approach, we were able to create a website that was intuitive, user-friendly, and optimized for speed and performance. We received positive feedback from users and stakeholders, and the website continues to be a valuable resource for designers and engineers around the world.
